The Hollandish is one of the simple strategies on the roulette table . It has some similarities with Martingale in that it also increases the stakes after losses. In this way, losses can be made up quickly and profits can be made. Despite what it has in common with Martingale, there is one key difference that makes this strategy much less risky. How to pursue the strategy at the roulette table and whether the Hollandish is a promising method, you can read in the following article.

So funktioniert die Hollandish

The Hollandish strategy works in such a way that you always bet in blocks of three. You increase the bet by two units after every block of three until you have made a profit. If the win is achieved, the entire sequence is won. You start all over with a new sequence. The strategy was created for bets on the simple odds that double your bet if you win, for example even / odd or red / black.

If you want to get started with the strategy, the first thing you need to do is determine your starting capital and an amount that you want to start the first sequence with. You bet this amount three times in a row, regardless of whether you lose or win. If you have made a profit after these three game rounds, the sequence is considered over and you start again from the beginning. Your betting capital has increased due to the amount you won. You are again free to decide how much you want to bet in the next three games. Let us explain this to you using an example. Suppose we set € 20 as our starting capital and would like to bet € 1 each on our first three bets:

We bet € 1 and lose, so we still have € 19.
We bet € 1 and win, so we have € 20 again.
We bet € 1 and win, so we now have € 21.

Since we have made a total profit of € 1 in this example (from € 20 starting capital to € 21), this sequence is considered to have been won. Our new starting capital is now € 21. The next sequence begins. To keep it simple, we continue to place € 1 per bet.

We bet € 1 and lose, so we have € 20.
We bet € 1 and lose, so we have € 19.
We bet € 1 and lose, so we have € 18.

This time we weren’t so lucky and lost 3 games and thus 3 bets = € 3 (from
€ 21 starting capital to € 18). So the sequence is not over. In order to win back the losses faster, we are now increasing the stake by 2 units. One unit still corresponds to our stake of € 1 per bet. In our example, the last bet was € 1 each. The next bet is increased by 2 units = € 2. So we bet € 3 per game in the next block of three.

We bet € 3 and win, so we have € 21 again.
We bet € 3 and lose, so we only have € 18 left.
We bet € 3 and lose, so we only have € 15.

In this case too, luck was not on our side and our losses rose to a total of € 6 (from € 21 starting capital to € 15). The sequence is still not over. Note that our starting capital is decisive for calculating the profit and not the capital with which we start a block of three. Since we are still in the red, the stake per bet is increased by 2 units again. So in the next block of three we bet € 5 each.

We bet € 5 and win, so we now have € 20.
We bet € 5 and win, so we now have € 25.
We bet € 5 and win, so we now have € 30.

Hollandish roulette strategy

Luck has finally turned and we made a profit of € 9, – compared to our start-up capital (from € 21, – start-up capital to € 30, -). As soon as a win is made, the sequence is considered complete. Your new starting capital is now € 30.-. Once again, you need to set your stake for each of the bets in the first block of three in the new sequence.

Vor und Nachteile

As with all roulette strategies that increase the stakes after a loss, the biggest advantage with the Hollandish is that it can quickly make up for failures and get into profitability. Since you always play in blocks of three with the same stake and the stake is only increased by only 2 units after three games, it takes quite a while for your stakes to grow to very high amounts. If the Hollandish strategy is used correctly, many gaming sessions will be positive and result in a profit.

Especially in comparison with the risky Martingale, where the stakes are also increased after losses, the Hollandish strategy bears little risk due to its special format. But this also means that the reduction of losses cannot happen as quickly as it is possible with the Martingale.

Of course, the Hollandish can also suffer a big loss at the end of the day. If luck is not on your side and you lose many blocks of three in a row, the stakes can also be increased here and your betting account melted down. As with any method that seeks to make up for losses with higher stakes, you will come to a point with the Hollandish where you bet a lot to save a small, sometimes even tiny, win. If your budget is limited, as is the case with most of us, at some point you will become unable to keep up with the ever-increasing stakes and lose all your money – or just stop somewhere.

The Hollandish pros and cons

Sollte ich die Hollandish anwenden?

Whether or not the Hollandish is right for you depends entirely on your needs and goals. The bottom line is that no strategy is going to give you an edge over the house. Thanks to the Hollandish, however, you will be more often in the plus than in the minus and close most gaming sessions in the live casino with a profit. Despite the cautious approach of this method, the losses can become very large here too if you are not careful. If you have to post a lot of lost bets or blocks, you could very well lose all your money.

If you are willing to accept larger losses for many successful gaming sessions with winnings and enjoy the unusual betting pattern, then the Hollandish is definitely a good choice for you.

The Hollandish strategy focuses on limiting losses with increased stakes. In principle, it is thus similar to many other roulette strategies, for example the Martingale. It therefore has the same disadvantages as the others. If the bad luck persists, the stakes quickly become too expensive. You can either exceed our financial resources or exceed the table limit. The Hollandish tries to counteract this risk with its special betting pattern. Betting in blocks of three and increasing the stake by just two units per block acts like a brake on the explosion of the required stakes. At Hollandish, in the long run, due to the sophisticated betting pattern, a net profit can be posted even if more game rounds are lost than won in a sequence.
