How to play Mega Ball
Let’s break down how to play Mega Ball, from start to finish.
Choosing your cards
Before the draw – which takes place like clockwork – you need to choose your cards. As mentioned, these are cards that act as a cross between lottery tickets and bingo cards, with the goal being to match with the balls that are drawn from the Mega Ball stage.
Each card has 24 numbers, as well as a ‘blank’ space in the middle that acts as a wild. The card is in a 5×5 formation and gives a total of 12 potential paylines. Should you wish to improve your chances of success, you can buy multiple cards up to as many as 200 cards for a single draw. You can also adjust the value of your cards so that each one constitutes a ‘wager’ of anything between 10 cents and $100.
Remember, before the draw begins you can refresh any of your cards to change the number formation. This can be done as many times as you want before the draw, at no extra cost to you. In addition, you can also adjust your card values right up until the moment the first ball is drawn.
Once the cards are in, the Mega Ball draw can commence! From the Mega Ball machine, between 20 and 51 coloured balls will be drawn at random, with each one being announced by the host. When a ball is drawn and the number is on your cards, this will be highlighted on your personal Mega Ball UI.
With each subsequent draw, the matching numbers will be highlighted on your cards. As more balls are drawn, your cards on the screen are rearranged in order of which ones have the best chances of winning.
You can also view which balls need to be drawn for you to win a line. As you do win those lines, your total current winnings in the pot will be updated in real-time.
Once all of the balls are drawn, the host will announce that the round is over and congratulate any winners. You will see all of your winning cards highlighted in gold on the screen, along with a tally of your total winnings. If you have no winning cards, your cards will be automatically sorted in order of which ones came closest to winning. Once the round is over, you can pick new cards and try again!
